12 Days Tanzania Birding Safari

Day1: Arrival in Tanzania

On arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Honey Badger Lodge on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in rural Moshi. Relax and overnight.

Day 2 : Usambara Mountains in Tanga

After breakfast, drive to the Western Usambara Mountains for an afternoon bird walk. Overnight at Lawns Hotel in Lushoto.

Day 3: Usambara Mountains in Tanga

Enjoy bird walks in the Western Usambara Mountains. Overnight Lawns Hotel, Lushoto.

Day 4:Usambara Mountains in Tanga

This morning, drive to the Eastern Usambara Mountains. Take an afternoon guided walk in search of the endemic Amani sunbird amongst other stunning mountain species. Dinner and overnight Amani Forest Camp.

Head to Saadani National Park

Day 5: Saadani National Park

Take a morning bird walk. After brunch, leave for Saadani National Park, arriving at the lovely Simply Saadani Camp. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Saadani National Park

There are unescorted bird trails available to explore in the morning. Leave after late breakfast for a thrilling boat safari on the Wami River and game drive back to the camp.

Day 7: Saadani National Park

Start the day on a guided bird walk. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive across the park.

Day 8: Udzungwa Mountains

After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for an afternoon bird walk. Dinner and overnight Udzungwa Forest Camp.

Day 9: Birds of Udzungwa Mountaions

Enjoy guided bird walks in Udzungwa national park which boasts of more than 400 bird species. Dinner and overnight Udzungwa Forest Camp.

Day 10:Nyerere National Park

Today, drive to Nyerere National Park, stopping at Kibungo Forest for a two-hour bird walk. Dinner and overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge.

Day 11: Safari in selous nyerere

Head out for a full day game drive with a boat safari on Lake Tagalala. Enjoy a packed lunch amongst the hippo pods, crocs and stunning birdlife.

Day 12: Dar es salaam Airport Back Home

Early morning breakfast then drive to Dar es salaam Airport with picnic lunch for your flight.
